I had dreamed of being an animator shortly after I could draw my first stick figure. I was inspired to pursue my dream after seeing The Rescuers in 1977; the sketchy pencil lines left on the characters in that movie allowed a peek into the art behind the scenes. To me, this was truly inspiring and life changing.
I grew up in Michigan and after being distracted by social activities and all of the wonderful challenges and pitfalls of growing up, I remembered that I had once wanted to make an animated film. So, I pursued the Disney Feature Animation internship by finishing art school and drawing and drawing and DRAWING (there was no CG back then kids). All of the hard work paid off when I was accepted into the Disney internship program and was hired shortly after to work on Pocahontas.
I have worked on The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Mulan, and Tarzan at Disney Feature Animation, and Spirit, Sinbad and Sharktale at Dreamworks. Additionally my work as a Sr. Animator can be seen on Sony Picture's Open Season, Surf's Up, Monster House, Beowulf, and I am Legend.
Some other films I have worked on include: Iron Man 3, Man of Steel, Men in Black 3 as well as The Amazing Spiderman.
Most recently, I was hired to work at Industrial Light & Magic in San Franciso California to bring life to the characters in Transformers: Age of Extinction, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , and Avengers: Age of Ultron.
